New · Instant Pix in Brazil

Platform · Automations

Recover the sales you almost lost.

When a checkout is abandoned, a card is declined or a Pix code expires, SparkIO follows up by email, SMS, WhatsApp or an automated call, with a link back to a prefilled checkout. Build the flow without code; the money lands in the same balance.

Simulated recovery of an abandoned checkout. Chloe Bennett left Northlight's checkout at the payment step on Mon, Oct 19 at 21:14 with a Studio Lamp for $249.00, after opting in to texts and WhatsApp. An email went out at 21:44 and was opened, with no click. The WhatsApp step fell inside quiet hours and was held until 08:00. On Tue, Oct 20 at 08:00 the WhatsApp message arrived; she tapped the link at 08:07, the checkout reopened prefilled, and she paid with Apple Pay at 08:09: order #20302. The SMS step was skipped because the order was paid.

Flow builder

Build the follow-up once. No code.

Pick what starts a flow, then add messages, waits and conditions. Every step can read what SparkIO already knows: the cart, the decline reason, the saved card, the shopper's language and what they agreed to.

  • Triggers from checkout, payments, subscriptions and saved cards
  • Waits, conditions and a fallback channel for every step
  • Stops the moment the order is paid, on any device
  • Start from a template and change any step

Flow

Abandoned checkout flow. Checkout abandoned: No payment 30 min after the payment step. Email: “Your cart is saved” · prefilled checkout link. Wait 4 hours. WhatsApp: “Complete your order” template · link button. Wait 24 hours. Opted in to texts? No → email. SMS: Payment link · reply STOP to opt out. End: Checkout closes after 7 days. The flow stops as soon as the order is paid.

Runs on checkouts that left an email or a phone.

Channels

Email, SMS, WhatsApp or a call.

Write the reminder once and send it where the shopper answers. Each channel gets its own format: a branded email, a short text, a WhatsApp template with buttons, or an automated call where pressing 1 sends the link by text.

  • Email from your own domain, with your logo and colors
  • SMS from your number, with STOP handled for you
  • WhatsApp templates through the WhatsApp Business Platform
  • Automated calls with keypad options, no agent needed

Failed payments

Retry when it can work. Ask when it can't.

Each decline reason gets its own plan. Insufficient funds waits for a better day, an expired card checks the account updater before anyone is asked, and a do-not-honor tries a second route before offering another way to pay. A suspected-fraud decline is never chased.

  • Retries on day 3, 5 and 7, at the hour the card last worked
  • The account updater runs before any “update your card” message
  • Links to the saved-cards page or a fresh checkout
  • No retries or messages after a fraud decline

Brazil · Pix and boleto

A new Pix code before the shopper gives up.

Pix codes expire in minutes and boletos have a due date. When one lapses, SparkIO sends a fresh code or a reminder on WhatsApp, in Portuguese, and the payment lands in your BRL balance like any other.

  • A new Pix code to copy, with the QR one tap away
  • Boleto reminders before and on the due date
  • Messages in the language of the checkout
  • Pix in the balance at once; boleto when it clears

Results

See what came back, flow by flow.

Every recovered payment is tied to the flow and the message that brought it back, and it lands in the same balance, ledger and payouts as any other payment. Nothing separate to reconcile.

  • Recovered revenue by flow, step and channel
  • Counted once, to the last message before payment

The small rules that make it feel human.

Defaults that keep a reminder useful instead of noisy.

  • Prefilled checkout links

Every link reopens the shopper's own checkout with the cart, address and email filled in, and expires with it.

  • In the shopper's language

Messages go out in the language and currency of the checkout, from one template per locale.

  • Stops when paid

Before every step the flow checks the order. Paid on another device, by Pix or at a bank: nothing more is sent.

  • Your sender, your number

Send email from your own domain and texts from your own number, so replies come back to you.

  • Drafted with Spark

Ask Spark to draft a step in your brand's voice. You edit it and approve it before it goes live.

  • Webhooks and API

Get an event when a message is sent, opened, clicked or brings back a payment, and start a flow from your own code.

Questions

Questions about automations.

Which channels can a flow use?
Email, SMS, WhatsApp and automated voice calls. Each step picks one channel and can fall back to another when the shopper has no number, has not opted in or the message fails. Which channels are available depends on the country.
Do I need my own WhatsApp Business account?
You connect your business to the WhatsApp Business Platform from the dashboard, and your messages go out under your own business name and number. Message templates are reviewed by WhatsApp before SparkIO can send them.
How do consent and opt-outs work?
Texts, WhatsApp messages and calls only go to shoppers who opted in, and the wording and time of that opt-in are stored. Replying STOP (or the local word, like SAIR) opts the shopper out of every flow at once. Quiet hours follow the shopper's time zone. The defaults are a starting point, not legal advice: you stay responsible for the rules in your markets.
Can a shopper get a reminder after they have paid?
No. Before each step the flow checks the order, so a payment on another device, by Pix, at a bank or through support stops it. The same check runs for declined payments: a successful retry ends the flow.
How are messages priced?
Email steps are included. SMS, WhatsApp and call steps are billed per message at a rate per country, shown in the flow editor before you turn the step on.
How is recovered revenue counted?
A payment counts once, toward the last message the shopper received before paying, if they paid within 7 days of it. The payment itself is an ordinary payment: it shows up in your balance, payouts and analytics like any other.
