USDC in. USDC out.
Mainly stablecoins. Shoppers pay in USDC, or USDT where local rules allow, from their own wallet or an exchange, on the network they pick. It lands in a stablecoin balance beside your USD one, and you pay suppliers and contractors from it any day of the week. Opening market by market as each licence is in place.
Simulated stablecoin checkout. Jordan Blake buys a Studio Lamp from Northlight for $249.00. The checkout quotes 249.00 USDC for 15 minutes and shows a payment request on the network he picks: Base, Ethereum, Solana or Polygon. TRON is not offered for USDC, only for USDT. His wallet sends the exact amount and pays the network fee; the payment is seen on the network and marked paid once the network confirms it, which on Base takes a few seconds, before Ethereum makes it final. It lands in Northlight's USDC balance, which goes from 3,298.00 to 3,547.00 USDC, beside the separate USD balance. Picking a network replays the payment there.
TRON carries USDT, not USDC: the checkout offers only pairs that exist.
Receive · Pay · Send
One USDC balance. Take it, spend it, send it.
Northlight takes USDC at checkout, pays its hinge supplier and pays three contractors abroad from the same balance. Every transfer in and out is screened; anything risky is held for review.

Stablecoins vs cards
Same lamp, same morning. Different rules.
Jordan paid 249.00 USDC on Base at 08:52. Maya paid $249.00 by Visa at 09:41. Here is what happens next for each.
- No card network in the middle: once confirmed, the payer's bank can't pull it back. A refund is a new transfer you send.
- The shopper's wallet pays the network fee, in that network's own token.
- Marked paid once final: in seconds on Polygon, about 13 s on Solana, about a minute on TRON, about 13 minutes on Ethereum. Base is credited in seconds, before Ethereum makes it final.
- Your return policy still applies, and so do consumer rules.
Simulated comparison of two payments for the same Studio Lamp on Wed, Oct 21. Jordan Blake paid 249.00 USDC on Base at 08:52; it was credited at 08:52:07, his wallet paid the network fee, it was in the USDC balance at once, and his bank can't pull it back: a refund is a new transfer to an address he confirms. Maya Chen paid $249.00 by Visa at 09:41; it was in the USD balance at once and is paid out to Chase •••• 6789 on Thu, Oct 22, the next business day, and her bank can still open a chargeback, which is answered with evidence.
Markets & rules
Market by market. By the rules.
Crypto payments go live market by market, as each licence or registration is in place. We're building to MiCA in the EU, the GENIUS Act framework in the US, the FCA regime in the UK and Banco Central do Brasil rules in Brazil.
- Every address that pays you, or that you pay, is screened against sanctions lists; anything risky is held for review.
- Transfers between providers carry sender and recipient details where the rules require them.
- We may ask you, or the person you pay, to prove control of a wallet before sending to it.
- Stablecoins are issued by third parties, not by SparkIO. A stablecoin balance is not a bank deposit and is not covered by deposit insurance.
Which stablecoins a shopper's checkout offers in each market once it opens. United States and United Kingdom: USDC on Base, Ethereum, Solana and Polygon; USDT on Ethereum, Solana, Polygon and TRON where local rules allow; EURC for euro prices. EU: USDC and EURC; USDT is not offered in the EEA. Brazil: Pix stays first and stablecoins are on request, where authorised. Every market is targeted and opens once its licence or registration is in place.
USDC and EURC are issued by Circle, USDT by Tether. Product names and logos are trademarks of their owners.
Questions
Crypto questions
- Which stablecoins and networks can I accept?
- Mainly USDC, USDT where local rules allow, and EURC. You can take them on Ethereum, Solana, Base, Polygon PoS and TRON (USDT only); Arbitrum and Stellar are on request. BTC (on the Bitcoin network), ETH and SOL can be switched on too: they are converted to USDC the moment they arrive, so you never hold them.
- Do I have to keep crypto?
- No. Keep USDC, or convert it to your USD or EUR balance from the dashboard. USDT and EURC, if you switch them on, sit in balances of their own. You see the rate before you confirm a conversion, and you can switch on conversion on arrival so stablecoins never sit in your account.
- Can a shopper charge a payment back?
- Not through their bank: there is no card network to dispute it through, and once a transfer is confirmed the payer can't reverse it. Refunds are new transfers you send, to an address the shopper confirms, in the token and network they paid with. Your return policy and consumer rules still apply.
- What if a payment is too small, too late or on the wrong network?
- If it's underpaid, we ask the shopper for the difference or refund it. If it's overpaid, we refund the extra. If it arrives after the quote expires, we re-quote or refund. The checkout only offers supported pairs; recovering a transfer sent on the wrong network is manual and not always possible.
- Where is it available?
- It's targeted for the US, the EU and the UK, with Brazil and other markets on request. Each market opens once its licence or registration is in place. USDT is not offered to shoppers or merchants in the EEA; USDC and EURC are.
- Is a USDC balance a bank deposit?
- No. USDC is issued by Circle, not by SparkIO. A stablecoin balance is not a bank deposit and is not covered by deposit insurance, and neither SparkIO nor the issuers pay interest on it.
- What does it cost, and can I test it first?
- Rates for crypto acceptance, conversion and transfers out are set in your proposal, like every other method. The sandbox runs on testnets with test USDC, no contract needed.
